By using Pluto Studio and having an active membership subscription with us, you must agree to our Membership Policy which includes important information about how our service works, what is and isn’t included with your membership subscription, and other service details.

In this policy, the term "subscription," sometimes referred to as "membership," signifies an ongoing, paid monthly membership subscription. The term "we" or “us” designates the service provider, Pluto Studio. The term "member" or “you” pertains to the individual who has initiated an active, paying monthly membership subscription to access our services. Additionally, the term "website" is used to denote the specific website that is directly associated with a monthly membership subscription with us.

Monthly Membership Subscription

Pluto Studio operates on a monthly membership subscription model, automatically renewing each month to provide continuous access to our services until canceled. To initiate a subscription, the following information will be required:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Address

  • Billing (credit card)

Your monthly membership subscription includes a complimentary website design (no design fees or upfront deposits), on-demand website management (no hourly rates), and unlimited update requests to the website – in addition to other benefits mentioned in this policy, such as website hosting.

Digital Signature Acknowledgement

A digital signature will be required before initiating the subscription. This digital signature is generated by entering your legal name in the designated input field prior to providing your billing information during the membership activation process.

You acknowledge and agree that this “digital signature” will serve as your legally binding signature, symbolizing acceptance and agreement to the Membership Policy.

Complimentary Website Design

Your monthly membership subscription grants you access to a variety of services, most notably a complimentary website design in the form of a “theme”. These themes are an excellent starting point and foundation that allows us to offer you a design with no design fees or upfront deposits.

Once you’ve selected your theme, we will collaborate with you to customize it to fit your specific needs and link it to a domain you already own. This design process will include, but is not limited to:

  • Adding your brand assets (logo, colors, fonts, etc)

  • Adding your content and copy (images, text, etc)

  • Creating new pages based on your content

  • Adding built-in website features (image galleries, contact forms, etc)

  • Linking social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, etc)

  • Linking a custom domain you already own

  • Linking to third-party services (Google Analytics, Typeform, etc)

Please be aware that our service does not include the development of fully custom or ecommerce websites. We primarily focus on creating straightforward informational websites.

Due to the unique requirements of each website, certain restrictions and limitations may apply to the available features. If you request a feature that we cannot accommodate or is not available through the platform we use, we will inform you of its unavailability and propose an alternative option, if possible.

Website Launch Timeline

We are dedicated to launching your website within 15 business days or less. To ensure the fulfillment of this goal, it is crucial to uphold timely communication with us, with 24 hours or less being recommended.

Please note that any delay in communication may lead to a corresponding delay in achieving the 15 days or less launch objective. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining prompt communication, which is essential for the timely and successful launch of your website.

Website Content Guidelines

While our service caters to many, it may not be the ideal fit for everyone. We maintain specific guidelines regarding website content. The following types of content are prohibited:

  • Content for which you do not own the rights

  • Marketing content (SEO rankings, click funnels, likes, followers, etc.)

  • Multi-level marketing or get-rich-quick schemes

  • Excessive third-party spam advertising

  • Excessive pop-up ads

  • File hosting or sharing

  • Any content that may be considered illegal

  • Any content that our team deems questionable

  • Content featuring sexual or adult themes

  • Content with drug or violent themes

  • Content related to tobacco, e-cigarettes, cannabis, or illegal substances

Requests involving the addition of any of the above type of content will not be added to the website. Please adhere to these guidelines to ensure compliance with our service and third parties we use.

On-Demand Website Management

Membership includes website management and unlimited updates, with no hourly rates applied. Updates will be reviewed and accepted from Monday through Thursday. If an update request is submitted on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, it will be reviewed on the following Monday.

All update requests are subject to review and approval. Depending on the size of the updates, we strive to complete them within 24-48 hours (Monday through Thursday). In the case of larger updates, the turnaround time may extend, and we will communicate with you the estimated completion timeframe.

We allocate 30 minutes each week to completing your update requests, a timeframe that has proven to be efficient for completing most updates. If any update surpasses this allocated time, the remaining updates will be carried over to the following week for completion. This system ensures that each update receives the attention it requires while maintaining a streamlined and manageable process.

Unused time allocated each week does not carry over or accumulate for later use. The dedicated time is specific to each week and does not extend beyond its designated timeframe, regardless of how many update requests have been submitted in any given week.

Switching Themes and Redesign Requests

Switching to a different theme or redesigning a website after its launch is currently not allowed. While the initial design is free, and there are no design fees, our service involves a significant amount of manual work, especially during the design and pre-launch stages. This makes it difficult for us to accommodate requests for website redesigns.

Requests that would substantially impact the website's appearance or functionality are considered redesigns and cannot be approved. Despite our no-redesign policy, we work to uphold your website to current online standards, incorporating the latest features we have available to ensure a positive experience for both you and online visitors.

Additional Membership Benefits

Your membership includes various supplementary benefits at no additional cost. These include dependable and secure website hosting, third-party integrations with select service providers such as Google Analytics and TypeForm, the creation of content copy for your site upon request, and access to an extensive image library of high-quality images.

Domain Purchase and Integration

A custom domain is not included with your membership and must be purchased separately. We recommend GoDaddy for securing the perfect domain, and through our GoDaddy integration, we can swiftly link your website to the chosen domain. You may also use another domain provider if you wish.

To successfully link your domain to the website, you must grant access to your GoDaddy or other domain provider account. We prioritize security and do not save or share these credentials.

Cancelling and Pausing Membership

You may cancel your membership at any time without incurring any cancellation fees. To cancel your membership, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your account at plutostud.io

  • Go to Subscriptions and select Pluto Membership

  • Click the “Cancel Subscription” button and follow the prompts

Once cancelled, you will receive a cancellation confirmation email and the website associated with the membership will remain live until the end of your current billing cycle. It’s important to note that you will not be eligible to rejoin for a period of one year from the date of cancellation.

The option to pause a membership subscription while retaining the live status of the website is currently not available within our service offerings.

Communication and Meetings

Our primary form of communication is email, with the exception of the initial introduction call with our team. This communication approach enables us to maintain affordable pricing while ensuring a positive experience for all our members.

By default, we do not provide the option for regular meetings. However, if you have an urgent matter, we can supply you with a calendar link, allowing you to choose an available day and time.

Please note that these meetings are conducted on Google Meet and may be recorded for quality assessment, team training, documentation, and internal purposes. Meeting slots are limited and can only be scheduled in 30-minute intervals.

Business Days of Operation

For our operations, Monday through Thursday are considered as business days. Please take this into account when assessing timelines and communication expectations.

Granting Back-End Access (For Members)

Pluto functions as a management service, not a do-it-yourself platform. We take care of designing, managing, and regularly updating your website, removing the necessity for you to possess back-end access for independent content editing, modification, or updates. We deliberately decline requests for back-end access as granting such access might jeopardize the seamless experience of our service and could potentially result in disruptions due to unintentional edits or changes.

Granting Back-End Access (For Service Providers)

If you engage a third-party service, like an SEO marketing agency or website accessibility firm, which requires back-end access to your website, we can provide limited access to facilitate their services.

Instructions on granting access will be shared upon your request. It's essential to emphasize that any third-party making significant alterations to the website will promptly lose their access privileges.

Site by Pluto Credit

By default, a site credit, commonly shown as "Site by Pluto" or something similar, serves as a recognition and acknowledgment of our service, as well as form of attribution or credit given for our work. This site credit is often displayed in the footer or another designated area of the website.

The option to remove the site credit from the website is available at an additional fee of $199 per year.

Failed Membership Payments

In the event of a failed membership payment, you will receive an email notification and a link asking you to update your billing information. We will make two additional payment attempts within a 10-day period (5 days for each attempt). If, after this period, the payment remains unsuccessful, your website will be taken offline immediately and the membership will be marked as unpaid.

To update your billing information, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your account at plutostud.io

  • Go to Payments and select Pluto Membership

  • Click the “Cancel Subscription” button and follow the prompts

If you do not make a payment and the membership remains unpaid for a total of 15 days, the website will be permanently deleted, and its content cannot be recovered. While we will inform you of any payment issues, it is your responsibility to maintain up-to-date and accurate billing information.

Disputed Membership Payments

In the event a membership payment is disputed with your bank, resulting in the membership being considered unpaid, your website will be taken offline immediately. We will contact you to gather more information about the dispute.

If the dispute was filed in error, you must reverse it with your bank and provide valid proof of the reversal (such as bank withdrawal documentation) to reactivate the website. However, if you proceed with the dispute, we will provide your bank with documentation and conversation logs to affirm the legitimate authorization of the charge. In this case, the website will be permanently deleted, and its content cannot be recovered.

Buy The Site / Buy-Out Option

Websites provided through our service are directly associated with an active membership and are considered leased assets, exclusively owned by Pluto Studio. As a member, you do not possess ownership rights over the websites themselves created under a membership.

A “Buy The Site” buy-out option is available to members who have maintained 120 consecutive days of active, paid membership. Upon reaching this milestone, you may acquire full ownership of the website for a one-time fee of $999. The buy-out fee covers the transfer of ownership, allowing members to have complete control and ownership of the website independent of a membership subscription.

The buy-out option is subject to approval. If approved, you agree to assume responsibility of managing and maintaining the website and for all post-buy-out website-related fees, including hosting with the platform that the website was designed on.

Until the buy-out is successfully completed, the website remains the property of Pluto Studio and is governed by the terms of the active membership.

Website Management Service Limitations

Our management service is exclusively available to websites directly associated with our monthly subscription service and theme offerings. Websites that did not originate from our service or websites purchased through the buy-out option are not eligible for our management services.

Non-Refundability Policy

All payments related to our services, including membership payments and the “Buy The Site” buy-out option, are deemed non-refundable. Once payments are processed, they are considered final, and no refunds will be issued. It is crucial for you to be aware of this non-refundability policy when engaging with our services, ensuring a clear understanding of the financial commitment associated with your membership and any additional options, such as the buy-out option, that may be selected.

Content Sharing Authorization

We retain the right to publish and share any website associated with our service, regardless of the membership status. This may include sharing the website and its content through various channels, including but not limited to our own websites, marketing initiatives, and with other members, without any expectation of compensation.

Opt-Out of Content Sharing

If, for any reason, you wish for us not to share the website, especially due to confidentiality agreements or other considerations, kindly contact us. We will make every effort to accommodate your request and refrain from sharing the content as specified.

Website Policies

By utilizing our service, you understand and agree that we are not responsible for providing you with website policies, such as Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. It is your sole responsibility to obtain and provide these policies to us as necessary for your business. We assume no responsibility for any legal consequences or liabilities arising from the lack of such policies.

Website Accessibility

By utilizing our service, you acknowledge that we do not provide website accessibility tools, as this is beyond our scope. While our primary focus is on creating straightforward informational websites that inherently contribute to accessibility, it is your sole responsibility to procure a third-party service specializing in website accessibility if it is a concern for you. We assume no responsibility for any legal consequences or liabilities arising from website accessibility.

Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

By utilizing our service, you acknowledge and affirm that any content you provide is under your copyright ownership, or if not, you possess the necessary permissions to redistribute it on the website. We do not claim any ownership of the content you provide us and assume no responsibility for any legal consequences or liabilities arising from such content.

Jurisdiction and Venue

In the event you initiate any legal claims or encounter legal ramifications, it is hereby stipulated that such claims must be filed exclusively in the jurisdiction of Irvine, California. This provision is established to ensure a clear and agreed-upon legal venue, promoting transparency and facilitating the resolution of any disputes in a manner consistent with the laws applicable in Irvine, California.

Rebranding and Continuity (For Moov Labs Members)

Moov Labs is now officially known as Pluto Studio. While the name has changed, Moov Labs Members and their websites are still under our management. It's important to note that the same Membership Policy that applied to Moov Labs Members continues to be in effect under the new branding.

Changes To This Policy

We reserve the right to update, change or modify any part of our service, including the Membership Policy, at any time at our discretion. If we make any changes, they'll be effective immediately upon updating this page.
